Policy & Parliament

The APPG on Blockchain Technologies held its AGM on 2 September. The BBA continues to serve as its Secretariat.
The newsletter covers the BBA’s evidence on access to banking for the cryptoasset sector and its response to the Bank of England’s stablecoin consultation.
The new National Blockchain Roadmaps portal brings together research, international experience and practical resources for policymakers.

Member showcases feature Xapo Bank, UNJSPF, BlockMed Pro and Crypto Accountants, highlighting their expertise and contributions.
The BAF’s 6th Annual Summit took place on 9 September, with policymakers, regulators and associations from across the global network. Summit recordings are now available.

ISC2027 takes place on 19 March 2027 at the University of East London. Abstract submissions close on 30 November 2026.
Research abstracts by Fernando Mario Lopes Cardoso Alves and Viraj Nair have been accepted for presentation.
The newsletter reports that JBBA Issue 18 is on track for the end of October; Issue 17 remains free to read.
Research updates include JBBA discoverability at the University of Melbourne, work in the University of Johannesburg’s repository, and a citation of the PCIO framework by the U.S. National Committee for IUPAC.
